David Hykes Windhorse Riders Composer, singer, music and meditation teacher, workshop and retreat leader, lecturer and writer, David Hykes was born in Taos, New Mexico, in 1953. Founder of the Harmonic Presence Foundation, on Sept. 11, 1981, he founded the group "David Hykes and the Harmonic Choir," the western world's oldest and pre-eminent overtone ensemble, in New York in 1975. Founder of the Harmonic Chant, a universal music based on the harmonics of sound and just intonation, which opens many new directions beyond the 'throat-singing' traditions of Central Asia.
